About the print
Robyn's work has a textural inky feel to it she creates through mono printing. She combines her chaotic mono printed artworks with deliberate offsetting, hand-drawn line and geometric shapes. The contrast between dark and bright colour is a recurrent theme throughout her work. She aims to create a feeling of a fictional lost world, blending old and new in which her prints belong to and she often refers to her inky shapes and forms as "fossils."
Her art is a visual exploration of the interaction between Order and Chaos.
Through mark making and mono printing, she aims to connect to her cultural ancestry of artists of the Neolithic era. Her work evokes feelings of an ancient nature, contrasted by modernist compositions.
