''I’m from Wales but my mother’s Irish, so when I was a kid it was the Poolbeg power station chimneys that I’d be looking out for as we crossed the Irish Sea on the ferry. To this day, nothing says Dublin to me like those spectacular chimneys do. They look so festive and nautical, with their red and white stripes, and really remind me that Dublin is a seaside town – which can be easy to forget when you’re in the city centre. I really hope they’re never knocked down, they’re my favourite eyesore.''
