Latvian Idioms #2: To Ride a Hare

£30.00

"To ride a hare" (braukt pa zaķi–Latvian) means "to ride for free" really. That's using public transport without paying for the ticket. I'd assume that it is something that western countries wouldn't understand much, but it's a thing here in Latvia. We like to ride on hares and argue with transport patrols when we get caught.
