Myles Hunt Design
We're always on the look out for new and upcoming creatives to interview and find out a little more about what they do, and perhaps more importantly what they're aspiring for. This week we caught up with Myles Hunt, a designer who's work ranges from stunning illustrations, clean graphic design and front end developing. We love his honestly and straight to the point ethic, along with his interesting variety of aesthetic styles ranging from sharp and graphic to expressive and illustrative.
As always we like to start with the basics. Who are you and what is your background?
My name is Myles Hunt, soon to turn 28, born and bred in Norfolk and I'm a self taught designer/illustrator/front end developer.
What do you tend to focus your design practise around?
I enjoy all things design-led, and like to play with a number of styles. I spend most of my time in illustrator but keep trying to add more strings to my bow. Most recently I've dabbled with some motion graphics... I probably should focus on one thing though!
How would you describe your work?
A work in progress ;)
What are you most influenced by?
I love works from illustrators such as Cleon Peterson & Parra but More recently I've found a real passion for branding and massively influenced by agencies like Design Studio & Wolff Olins.
Many people have different opinions about this questions. Is social media your friend or foe?
Social media is exhausting! But it's so good for the exposure so pretty essential when you've just started to put your name out there (like myself.)
What does the future look like for you?
B2B Art direction going by the day job! haha. But I want a shed in my back garden which is a place I can call my studio!
