Mister Adam

Mister Adam (aka Adam Oostenbrink) is a graphic designer and printmaker exploring different graphic techniques such as screenprinting, linocut, risograph and letterpress. His bold type-o-graphic style is unstrained, colourful, lively and wonderfully outspoken. Fusing type and print is something that here at People of Print we most enjoy, and therefore couldn't resist adding Adam's brilliant work to the store to share with our audiences.

One of his most recent works is the bold WORD UP screenprint capturing the essence of rap music referencing a common phrase deriving from many rappers in the 80's and 90's. The phrase 'Word' came from a few phrases like "Word is bond" meaning your word is your bond so anything you say you are bonded to. It then changed to other forms like "Word up". And even just WORD.
